Malek is a senior counsel at Lutfi and CBP. Malek graduated in law from Damascus University in 1966 and has been with Lutfi & Co since 1985. He has practised before all levels of courts in Syria before moving to the UAE in 1984 and has right of audience before the Federal Courts and the Dubai Courts.

Malek is considered by his peers one of the best litigators in Dubai and the UAE and has been successfully involved in several high profile commercial and civil litigations and arbitrations in the UAE and Syria.

Malek has successfully conducted many major cases in the fields of agency law, banking, insurance and a variety of contract based disputes. He has regularly appeared as leading counsel in arbitrations.

His abilities are illustrated by the fact many major corporations have given him general power of attorney to conduct litigation on their behalf.
